A salon that bets on its artists before the market does.
Young visual artists don't lack talent - they lack access, know-how, and relationships. Salón exists to close that gap. We take a small number of early-career artists each year and give them what a first gallery relationship rarely offers this early: real mentorship, a public exhibition history, and direct introductions to the galleries and collectors who can build a career, not just make a sale.
We fund this work the way any independent venue does, through drinks, tickets, and the direct sale of work at our events. But our real stake in an artist's future is longer than one evening. As part of the program, Salón acquires a small number of works directly from each artist's cohort year. We hold these in our own collection, the same way an early supporter holds a stake in a company - not to flip quickly, but because we believe the artist's market will grow, and we want to have backed that growth honestly, alongside them.
It's a simple idea: if we're right about an artist, everyone who backed them early, the artist, their collectors, and Salón should benefit from being right.

Artists are a part of the whole process, from the exhibition to the sale.
Every acquisition and every commission is disclosed in writing before an artist joins the program.
