Elisabeth Bukenberger

Lucie Marie Spillmann

Elisabeth Bukenberger is a Berlin-based painter whose work explores identity, perception, and womanhood through fragmented figurative portraits, often close-up studies of eyes, lips, and faces that examine beauty standards and challenge the perfectionism she was raised with. Guided equally by instinct and intention, she seeks to create work that leaves viewers with an emotional connection rather than a fixed message, reflecting her broader hope that people slow down and engage more honestly with life and each other.

Lucie Marie Spillmann explores perception and reality through a "reality triangle" of fact, subjective experience, and belief, working from concept and instinct that only converge later in the process. Her practice resists overstimulation and algorithmic influence by favoring slowness, genuine observation, and independent thinking, and she's now seeking a stronger artistic community for critique and collaboration.
